My Integration keeps disconnecting

If your CRM integration connects successfully but then drops after a period of time, there are a few common causes.

Check 1: Has your CRM password changed?

If any user changes their CRM password, their Salestrail connection to the CRM will be invalidated. They need to go to Dashboard > Integrations > Apps > Login and re-authenticate with their new credentials.

Check 2: Has your CRM authentication token expired?

Some CRMs use OAuth tokens that expire after a set period. When this happens, the integration disconnects. The fix is to go to Dashboard > Integrations > Apps, click Connect next to your CRM, and re-authenticate.

Check 3: For Salesforce — IP restrictions or permission changes

Salesforce has strict security settings that can cause the integration to drop if IP restrictions are in place or if a user's profile permissions change. See Salesforce OAuth Error for specific steps to resolve this.

Check 4: For HubSpot — app authorization revoked

HubSpot users can revoke app authorizations from within their HubSpot settings. If this happens, the integration will disconnect. Go to Dashboard > Integrations > Apps > Connect and re-authorize.

Preventing disconnection

  • For Salesforce, work with your Salesforce administrator to ensure the Salestrail connected app is not subject to token expiry policies
  • After any CRM system update or password policy change, proactively check the Integration Log for red dots
