Why is my Salestrail call recording only capturing one side of the audio, and how can I fix it?
Experiencing one-sided call recording audio in Salestrail? If you only hear your own voice and not the client's voice, please check out this article.
This issue occurs when call recordings capture audio from only one side of the conversation, meaning that only your voice is heard while the other participant’s voice is missing or very faint.
In most cases, this is caused by device manufacturer restrictions. Certain Android devices limit how audio can be captured during calls for privacy and security reasons. As a result, third-party applications such as Salestrail may only have access to the microphone input, rather than the full call audio. These restrictions are built into the device or operating system and are not controlled by Salestrail.
At present, there are no settings within Salestrail that can override these hardware or system-level limitations. The app can only work within the permissions and capabilities allowed by the device.
A practical workaround is to use the speakerphone during calls. This allows the device’s microphone to pick up both sides of the conversation more clearly, which may result in a more complete recording.
If the issue continues, it may be helpful to test the recording on a different device, as recording behaviour can vary between manufacturers.
