A Call Failed Because "No Match Results Found"
This error means Salestrail looked up the phone number from the call in your CRM and could not find a matching record. Because Salestrail matches calls to CRM records by phone number, if the number does not exist in your CRM the call will not be pushed.
How to fix it for a specific call
- Add the contact to your CRM with the correct phone number
- Go to Dashboard > Integrations > Integration Log
- Find the failed call and click Replay
Salestrail will attempt to match and log it again. If the contact has been added correctly, the dot will turn green.
Why this keeps happening
Phone numbers are not in your CRM Your team is calling numbers that have not been added as contacts yet. This is common when calling cold leads or new prospects. Consider adding contacts to your CRM before or immediately after calling them.
Phone number formatting is inconsistent Salestrail matches by exact phone number. If a number is stored in your CRM as +44 7700 900000 but the call came from 07700900000, they will not match. Standardise phone number formatting in your CRM — ideally all numbers should include the country code in the same format.
The contact exists but under a different number Check whether the contact is in your CRM under a different phone number field. Salestrail matches against all standard phone number fields by default, but if the number is in a custom field it may not be picked up.
If you want calls logged even when no match exists
By default, calls with no CRM match stay in the Salestrail dashboard only. If you want Salestrail to automatically create a new lead or contact for every unmatched call, this can be configured as a customisation. Contact support@liid.com with your requirements.
